Maximilian Zischka
Maximilian Zischka, born in 1992 in Starnberg, is a contemporary artist currently living and working in Munich.
His primary focus is on drawing and painting, characterized by an emotional use of color, strong contrasts, black outlines, and deep psychological themes and processes. He often describes his works as metaphors for his inner states, revealing his emotional world to the viewer.
His starting point is often crises and strokes of fate, which the artist sometimes processes with a sacred, psychedelic, and surreal quality, inviting the viewer to reflect on their own inner states and find hope.
Crucial to his work since 2024 is a chronic decompensated tinnitus that continues to affect Maximilian Zischka and profoundly influences his perception of the modern world and his emotional landscape.
The artist describes his creative process as a trance-like state that oscillates between losing and regaining control—letting go, but not falling into complete abandonment.
